As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the
youth. Happy
is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but
they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Psalm 127:4, 5
The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow. In the text
above, we see that the Lord is saying that children (young people) are arrows
in the hand of a mighty man. I want you to understand that God has great
intentions for you as a young person. You are an arrow in God’s hands and He is
set to engage you for a great assignment in your generation.
An arrow could be shot to any place or at anything the shooter
desires. This means that you could be very instrumental to bring transformation
in healthcare, education, government, music, Christian ministry etc. As an arrow
in the hands of the Almighty, you will confront the reign of ungodliness and
cause righteousness to prevail.
A correct arrow is a mighty weapon in God’s hands. Think of
Wesley, Whitefield or Finney. What about Evan Roberts of Wales? These were young
people that changed the course of history. They affected God’s kingdom positively
and made heaven rejoice.
There is a great loss when opposite is the case. An arrow in the
hand of the devil will cause great havoc. Think of Hitler. The Bible says, one
sinner destroyeth much good (Ecclesiastes 9:18). Don’t be an instrument in the
hands of the devil. Turn to the Lord today and give your heart to Christ.
If you would become a great arrow in God’s hands, you must be
made. Jesus told His disciples to follow Him and that He would MAKE them
fishers of men. The disciples were going to raise men for God. God intends to
make you a correct arrow. It begins by yielding to the call to follow Christ. Are
