For years now, I have been wondering how believers can influence society with the gospel of Jesus. This became particularly deep in my heart after reading the book, Church Shift by Sunday Adelaja
In his book, he shared how God helped his church to be the forerunner in the Orange Revolution in Ukraine. This was what led to the liberation of that country from the clutches of oppression and corruption.
He shared also about how his church reached out to the alcoholics, prostitutes and the hungry with acts of love and the transforming power of the gospel.
These stories changed my perspective of the gospel. I was able to see the meaning of the scripture which says we are the salts of the earth and the lights of the world in a clearer sense.
