Ezekiel 22:30 (KJV)  

“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”

“And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.”  

God is always searching for men and women He can use. There is something in His heart about you—an objective, a divine assignment. He declares: “I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth” (Isaiah 41:15). You are God’s battle axe, fashioned to solve complex challenges and to carry answers for your generation.

The Making Process

God’s promise is clear: “I will make you.” But the making process is essential before manifestation.  

1. Gathering – Salvation and Consecration  

   Salvation is the first step. Without being born again, no one can see or enter the kingdom of God (John 3:3,5). Consecration is the yieldedness of clay in the Potter’s hand.  

2. Refinement – Sanctification  

   Impurities must be removed. “Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer” (Proverbs 25:4). Gideon’s army was reduced to 300 because many lacked courage, discipline, and alertness. God refines us to prepare us as fitting vessels (Malachi 3:3; 2 Timothy 2:21).  

3. Formation – Discipleship and Doctrine  

   True discipleship involves building a relationship with God, cultivating a prayer life, fellowshipping with believers, and becoming like Christ in character and charisma. Mordecai groomed Esther; Timothy was raised by his family and Paul. God has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to perfect the saints and build the body (Ephesians 4:11–13).  

4. Drying and Hardening – Maturity Through Fire  

   Obedience is learned through suffering (Hebrews 5:8). Strength is tested in adversity (Proverbs 24:10). Seasons of warring, wilderness, waiting, and winning shape us into resilient vessels.  

5. Unveiling – Manifestation  

   The earnest expectation of creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19). When God reveals His Son in us, we become channels of His power and glory (Galatians 1:15–16).

Channels of Usefulness

God makes us vessels not for decoration but for impact. Here are ways He uses us to bless lives:  

- Intercession: Standing in the gap for people (Ezekiel 22:30).  

- Evangelism: Preaching the gospel with power (Romans 1:16).  

- Service: Fulfilling ministry in the body of Christ.  

- Discipleship: Raising others to know God more deeply.  

- Gifts and Graces: Using spiritual gifts to transform lives (1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4).  

- Secular Platforms: Careers, leadership, and professions harnessed for kingdom exploits. Esther and Mordecai preserved a generation through their positions.  

Professional platforms are pulpits God uses to spread His word beyond the four walls of the church.

Conclusion

You are made for the Master’s use. Salvation, sanctification, discipleship, maturity, and manifestation are all part of the process. God is shaping battle axes for revival, vessels for honor, and instruments for transformation.  

Yield yourself to His making. Let Him refine, form, and empower you. Then, when unveiled, you will be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and prepared for every good work.
