Biblical Picture of a blessed life

A blessed life is one that has all-around blessings from heaven. It is a life that is full of God’s grace and riches. It is a life that counts. It entails being blessed by God and becoming a blessing to others. This is made possible through the creative power of God’s word being daily revealed to us. God's blessings are transferred to man on the basis and through the word of God. (Ps 107:20; Matt 8:8; Luke 5:5; John 1:1-3).

We need to rediscover the depth of riches in the word of God and recover our love for His word if we are going to experience the power of God’s word for a blessed life.
The foundation of a blessed man rests on the fact that he has turned away from every ungodly counsel. He has no friendship with the world and he is not taking the things of God with levity. Only those who have a relationship with God through Christ can lead this kind of life.

The blessed man does not walk in ungodly counsel (either from the devil, world or his flesh) but he;

a.     Walks in the light of God’s word
b.     Walks in love
c.      Walks in deep communion with God
d.     Walks with other Christians in fellowship
e.     Walks according to the name of God
f.       Walks in holiness
g.     Walks circumspectly

He does not stand in the way of sinners but he;

a.     Stands up for Jesus
b.     Stands on the word of God
c.      Stands fast in the liberty of Christ
d.     Stands in the evil day (Eph 6:10ff)

He does not seat in the seat of the scornful but he;

a.     Is seated with Christ in heavenly places
b.     Is sitting under the shadow of the Almighty
c.      Sits under the feet of Christ to learn
d.     Sitting under the tutelage of a spiritual disciple/leader/pastor/leader
e.     Sits at the gates like Mordecai to take a bold stand for God. Esth 3:3
f.       Sits like Deborah and teach the word Judg 4:5
g.     Sits with others to discuss the progress of the kingdom...Boaz
