More than ever before, we need to arise and build the kingdom of God. Our world has been badly battered and beaten by the effects of the current pandemic. We need to offer hope to the people.
In Nigeria, after the civil war, God raised Scripture Union to give hope and ignite the fire of revival in the Eastern Part of Nigeria which also greatly affected several campuses in the Western Part of Nigeria.
As much as God is willing to raise us as people that will be part of the kingdom building project, those that will usher in His move in several places and several sectors, He is very careful as to who He commits Himself to.
In 1 Kings 6:7, we see that the stones that will be used to build the temple must be fashioned, pruned and cut into desired shapes. We have said that the pattern we need to be built into is Jesus – the Chief Cornerstone.
The existence and manifestation of self in the lives of those whom God intends to commit the task of kingdom building to will cripple that work. We are His workmanship created in Jesus for good works but that can only be a possibility when self is not reigning supreme. Self destroys the work of God.
