Building men for time and eternity

We thank God for bringing us to the conclusion of this series. When we started, the first instruction that came to us was the need to begin the process of building according to Jesus – the Pattern of God.

We thank God for the revelation of the truth that our lives can be conformed into His image. Yes, we can possess His virtues, victories over sin, evil spirits and satan.

We pressed on and we got to know that we have been called into the ministry of building together with God. However, we must build according to Christ. Everything we do in ministry must be patterned according to the New Covenant. Men may seek wonders, wisdom and worship, we must present Jesus as the only One who satisfies all desires. That is when they can be truly satisfied. We also see that the body must find balance and it can only be found in the pursuit of Jesus.

As we conclude, the Lord is speaking passionately about building men for time and eternity. It is disturbing to note that many people (churchgoers) have hope in Christ only in this world. They have no hope of any life hereafter. The faith of these people is built to cling to the ephemerals of this world.

Several lives have been lost and many have passed on to a Christ-less eternity. How many who have been infected with this virus (COVID-19) have the hope of eternity with God? The Lord is making us to see the utter vanity of life and the need to awake and win the lost to Him.

Death is inevitable for all but do you have an assurance of eternity with God? Do people around you have hope in God in this season? It is time for the church to awake to the task of world evangelization. What is our commitment to evangelism and missions?

It is time to go out to where the sinners are. Use your social media platform to preach the word. Engage your writing skills now. Can you sing people into accepting Christ? If you have the gift of hospitality, use it now. Can you act? Use it to lead people to Christ. Can you speak? Begin to talk to people about Christ. In your place of work, you can organize a staff fellowship or speak to people one-on-one. Many people will go to a Christ-less eternity if we are not intentional about winning them.
