Romans 8:26, 27 opens our
understanding to the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives as believers. It
talks about the help that the Holy Spirit brings into the life of a believer
especially in prayer.
Prayer is central to seeking God and
birthing revival. In fact, the prayer room is the birthplace of revival. As we
trust God for personal, corporate revival and a move of God in our communities,
it must begin with prayer.
When God intends great mercy for His
people, He sets them a-praying – Matthew Henry.
God does nothing except in response to
believing prayer – John Wesley
The man who can get believers to
praying would under God usher in the greatest revival the world has ever known.
– Leonard Ravenhill
We cannot do effective praying without
the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We have several infirmities and limitations
that can hinder us. They include physical weakness and mental weakness. We are
limited in knowledge and discernment. Reinhard Bonnke once said we are made to
be power-assisted.
The Holy Spirit in us takes over our
frailty and begins to intercede for us. God understands the groaning of the
Spirit and supplies all we need to secure the will of God upon our lives and
His move upon the earth.
Sometimes, we become lost for words
and we agonize in prayer even as the Holy Spirit assists us in prayer. Our
whole being is involved in this kind of prayer. We cannot see God’s blessings
upon our efforts until we pray in this manner.
The Holy Spirit will help you tarry in
God’s presence and make prayer a delight. He will help you pray by discernment
and this will make your writing, singing, preaching, teaching, online ministry
very full of impact and effective.
Building up yourself upon your most
holy faith praying in the Holy Ghost – Jude 20.
